Bending over him and tickling him playfully, Obi would claim to be infected by the “tickle bug” and the only way to cure him would be to tickle his illness out on someone, before nuzzling his head against his cheek and hugging the young pharmacist close to his body, letting him feel his calm heartbeat. On sunny days, he would often lift him up afterwards, tickling his underarms in the process, and carry him out into the open, to get him out of his cave into the beauty of mothers’ nature, always making sure not to step on his work, that’s neatly scattered on the entire wooden floor, having a bit more fun with him onto the soft grass in the court garden. Crouching down and ruffling Ryuu's hair, Obi would chat with him about what had happened in his day up till now, telling him about the newest things going on in the town and castle and asking the young boy things like what he ate for breakfast or what he’s currently researching. He would often visit him in the pharmacy and tickle him randomly when he seems to be revised from all the investigations and inquiries, poking his sides to get his attention when he is too absorbed in his work. The young boy smiles and laughs too less for his age and the ravenhead feels for him like a big brother that needs to look after him.
Yes, he is a prankster, but he would never tickle someone he's close with if they wouldn't like it. Despite that, he tickles each of his friends differently, having stored each of his friends’ weak spots and preferred tickle techniques in his mind. Laughing and playing pranks is just one of his trademarks and laughing together with others is always better than alone. You can indeed call him a tickle monster, skilled in the art of tickling like no one else in the allegiance of the royal family. Too embarrassed to speak up his mind and revealing these feelings to them, his natural reaction was to show it to them instead with this kind of affection, having seen it done by many families with their younger kids before. The first few times Obi did it just for the fun of teasing them, well at least regarding his “Master” but the more time he spend with the prince and his comrades and the deeper their connection became, the more he did it to show them how much they mean to him and how much he cared for their well-being. His main targets are either Zen or Ryuu, since he thinks that both boys need to relax more in their stressful daily lives at Wilant Castle. Seeing their surprised and giggly expressions when he sneaks up behind them and wiggles his fingers into his victims’ sides, brings him a lot of joy.
